Ventilation is responsible for maintaining sound indoor environment with a fair amount of energy consumed. With tightened requirements on energy efficiency in future building, ventilation is expected to play a more important role. Innovative and yet practical solution is to be explored to achieve balanced performance in building energy, comfort and economic. The objective of the workshop is to provide insights from experts practiced in this area from both Europe and China. The following presentations are to be arranged:

  • Ventilating systems in future buildings – changing the paradigm for energy efficiency and occupant’s health, Catalin Lungu, President of elect, REHVA and Ilinca Nastase, Technical University Of Civil Engineering, Bucharest
  • Research on fundamental problems for healthy and low carbon buildings, ZHANG Yinping, Tsinghua University
  • Ventilation, indoor air quality and thermal comfort in operating rooms, Guangyu Cao, Norwegian University of Science and Technology
  • Physical environmental and behavioral drivers of residential building heat recovery ventilation system feasibility, LIU Junjie , Tianjin University

This workshop will facilitate the dialogue between researchers and HVAC professionals from the two regions for possibility of collaboration for mutual benefits.
The 90 minutes session consists of 4 presentations with Q&A followed after each one.
